My journey to Advent Global Opportunities has been an unexpected but rewarding experience. If you had asked me seven or eight years ago what I’d be doing now, I certainly never would have imagined I’d be part of a crossover investment team. In the years after graduating from Syracuse University, I found myself in several roles where I gained broad exposure to numerous different operational areas – including tax, corporate actions, asset pricing and valuation, and middle-office trade support. This collective experience not only provided a solid foundation but enabled me to take a holistic approach to fund management. Looking back, this non-traditional path has been instrumental in the personal and professional growth I’ve achieved while I’ve been here.

I’m grateful for how accommodating Advent Global Opportunities has been towards my career development. There’s a culture of openness here: an understanding that individuals take ownership and pride in their work, while allowing the flexibility for everyone to manage their time effectively. For me personally, this has included the support to complete my graduate degrees, and the chance to attend numerous conferences to expand my professional network and stay current on industry best practices.

The emphasis placed on culture and collaboration was noticeable from the beginning, and much appreciated. Advent Global Opportunities and the broader Advent organization openly encourage and enable individuals to connect with one another across teams and departments. This relationship building is invaluable, and creates a culture where the emphasis is always placed on the team and not the individual.

The outdoors is where I feel I can unwind and disconnect most easily. During the summer months I especially enjoy golfing, boating, and spending time at the beach on Cape Cod with my family.
